Inmate escapes from work release program, considered dangerous

Police are seeking information about an inmate who escaped from the work release program on Thursday afternoon.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and Laurel County Detention Center are looking for 19-year-old Dustin Williams of Rebecca Lane in London. Williams was on work detail Thursday when he walked away from the job site and escaped custody. Williams is approximately 6’2”, 200 pounds with blue eyes and shoulder length brown hair. He was seen wearing a yellow striped polo shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Williams was being held on charges of probation violation for theft over $500, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief, all of which are felony offenses.
