Jim Keller will remain on the board of the Laurel Water District - an appointment made during a special called meeting of the Laurel County Fiscal Court on Wednesday morning.
Keller has been on the board in the past and magistrates voted to retain him on that commission during that meeting.
Magistrates also voted to pay some bills due before the regular monthly meeting set for next Thursday.
Laurel County Judge Executive David Westerfield said the special called meeting was set primarily to address those bills.
"With the monthly meeting not taking place until next week, we wanted to go ahead to pay the bills," he explained. "We had to reappoint Jim Keller to the water board so we put paying the bills on that agenda as well."
The Laurel County Fiscal Court meets the fourth Thursday of each month in the third floor conference room at 9:30 a.m.
