• Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Jessica Ann Collette, age 36, of Gray on May 1 at approximately 6:44 p.m. The arrest occurred on Paris Karr Road, approximately eight miles south of London, after Deputy Cloyd was dispatched to a complaint of a subject walking on Paris Karr Road creating a disturbance. Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Cloyd conducted an investigation on the female subject there determining that she was under the influence. Upon arrest, this subject scuffled with Deputy Cloyd and at one point kicked Deputy Cloyd but was taken into custody. While being transported to the detention facility this individual continued to yell and scream. Deputy Cloyd also learned that this subject was wanted on outstanding warrants. Collette was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, giving officer false identifying information, third-degree assault - police officer is victim, resisting arrest, and public intoxication - controlled substances. In addition, this subject was charged on a Knox County District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of public intoxication - controlled substances; second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and third-degree terroristic threatening. In addition, this subject was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication - controlled substances and contempt of court. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Gary Mehler along with Deputy Travis Napier and Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Regina Ann Griffie, age 49, of London on May 1 at approximately 9:15 a.m. The arrest occurred off US 25, approximately two miles north of London, after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies located the female suspect who appeared to be under the influence - an investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence. Griffie was charged with public intoxication - controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Brad Mink arrested Evelyn Marie Doree, age 24, of East Bernstadt on May 2 at approximately 1:35 p.m. The arrest occurred on School Street in East Bernstadt after Deputy Mink received a complaint of a female subject apparently laying in the roadway there. Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Mink located the female subject and learned that she had apparently fallen off a scooter there receiving minor injuries. This subject refused treatment by EMS and as Deputy Mink conducted an investigation he learned that this subject was wanted by Grayson County Sheriff's office, Texas on a fugitive warrant on charges of failure to appear regarding forgery. This individual was charged with being a fugitive and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Landry Collett arrested Ray O. Baker, age 37, of London May 2 at approximately 2 a.m. The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off US 25 in London following a traffic stop conducted by Deputy Collett. During the traffic stop Deputy Collett located this individual in possession of two baggies containing suspected methamphetamine. This individual was also determined to be under the influence. This individual was charged with public intoxication - controlled substances; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance - first offense - methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; and failure to wear seatbelts. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Gary Mehler arrested Michael R. Medlock, age 38, of London on May 3 at approximately 7:14 p.m. The arrest occurred after Deputy Mehler was dispatched to a refusal to leave complaint there. Upon arrival Deputy Mehler learned that the male subject there had previously been trespassed from that property. Medlock was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested two individuals on May 9 at approximately 5:15 p.m. The arrests occurred off McWhorter Road, approximately 1/10 mile east of London as Deputy Cloyd assisted social services on a referral and Deputy Cloyd encountered these two individuals wanted on outstanding warrants. Arrested were:

1. James R. Brumley, age 28, of Burning Springs, Kentucky, charged on a Clay District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court.

2. Cecil Sizemore, age 42, of London charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator's license and numerous other violations. In addition, the subject was charged on a Clay District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator's license and numerous other violations. Also, this individual was charged on a Clay District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and numerous other violations. The subject was also charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree trespassing - second-degree.

These individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Josh Morgan along with Sgt. John Inman and Deputy Gary Mehler arrested Joshua C. Hollingshead, age 22, of Corbin May 9, 2019 at approximately 2:10 a.m. The arrest occurred off KY 2392, approximately six miles south of London, after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there. Upon arrival at the scene deputies located this individual and noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from his person. An investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence. Hollingshead was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Laurel Sheriff's Detective Daniel Grigsby along with Deputy Jake Miller and Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested Adam J. Dragoo, age 46, of Corbin on May 9 at approximately 10:41 a.m. The arrest occurred at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office in London after this subject came to the Sheriff's office seeking information and while there created a disturbance in the front lobby yelling obscenities in the presence of female clerks and customers. This individual was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Laurel Sheriff's Detective Daniel Grigsby arrested Nicholas D. Lucas, age 28, of London on May 9 at approximately 11:58 a.m. The arrest occurred off East Laurel Road, approximately one mile east of London, after Detective Grigsby responded to a disturbance complaint there and encountered this individual conducting an investigation and determined that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. This individual was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator's license and numerous other violations. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Taylor McDaniel along with Sgt. Greg Poynter arrested Matthew Bubacz, age 58, of East Bernstadt on May 10 at approximately 1:43 p.m. The arrest occurred off KY 909, approximately eight miles north of London, after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle located there. Deputies conducted an investigation on the driver of a black colored Honda accord. The driver was determined to be under the influence. Deputies also located this subject in possession of methamphetamine and were given a false name by the driver. Deputies found identification in the vehicle to the contrary and learned who the driver really was. While being processed into the detention center, staff allegedly found this subject in possession of a glass pipe. Bubacz was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance - first offense - methamphetamine, license to be in possession, giving officer false identifying information, failure to wear seatbelts, failure to produce insurance card, promoting contraband first-degree, and tampering with physical evidence. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Joey Robinson arrested Jeffrey Fortunato, age 27, of Boston, Massachusetts on May 10 at approximately 6:31 p.m. The arrest occurred on I-75, approximately one mile south of London, after Deputy Robinson observed a silver colored Toyota Yaris weaving on the roadway and almost hitting a vehicle while weaving on the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted where Deputy Robinson detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle as he conducted an investigation on the driver who was determined to be under the influence. This subject was found in possession of a large amount of US currency, and marijuana. In addition, this subject was found in possession of 1 pound and 3.9 ounces of Lego gummy's allegedly laced with THC. The driver stated they were edible gummy's that contained THC. The driver was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence - first offense; trafficking in marijuana 8 ounces to under 5 pounds -- first offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore assisted on the investigation. Fortunato was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Donnie Brown, age 52, of Bryant's Store, Kentucky, on May 10 at approximately 2:18 p.m. The arrest occurred off US 25, approximately nine miles south of London, after Deputy Cloyd was dispatched to a traffic collision at the junction of US 25 and Cumberland Gap Parkway where this individual allegedly rear-ended another vehicle. In addition, a report of this vehicle allegedly running off the roadway several times before striking a vehicle was dispatched to Deputy Cloyd. Deputy Cloyd located the suspect vehicle - a white Ford Edge -- observing it weaving on the roadway and activated his emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle pulled into a business parking lot and stopped where Deputy Cloyd conducted an investigation on the driver noting that the driver allegedly had slurred speech. In addition, an open can of beer was observed in the cup holder of the vehicle. The driver was determined to be under the influence. This individual was charged with careless driving; operating a motor vehicle under the influence - first offense; failure to wear seatbelts; possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited; and failure to produce insurance card. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Sgt. John Inman along with CSO Judy Morgan arrested Brian Curtis Jones, age 19, of London May 11 at approximately 6:01 a.m. The arrest occurred on Johnson Road, approximately one mile east of London, after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint off Hatcher Road nearby. Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the suspect and detected the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject, noted he allegedly had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. This individual was determined to be under the influence and was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

• Sgt. John Inman along with CSO Judy Morgan arrested Traci Lynn Saylor, age 51, of Flat Lick, Kentucky, May 11 at approximately 1:09 a.m. The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Parkway, in a business parking lot approximately 12 miles south of London, after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a suspicious subject there attempting to open car doors in the business parking lot and appearing to be under the influence. When deputies arrived at the scene and located the suspect, an investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence. Saylor was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
