The Pittsburg Homecoming will conduct a street dance on Thursday, to kick off the festivities.
The dance will be conducted under the shelter from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The music will probably be 1960s, said Claudette George, one of the coordinators.
On Aug. 31 the homecoming will begin at 6 p.m. There will be entertainment including an Elvis impersonator and the East Bernstadt Dance Cats.
The beauty pageant for 0 through 12 year olds will be conducted on Friday.
On Sept. 1 the festivities begin at 7 p.m. There will be the teen and miss pageants for ages 13 to 21. The entertainment will include singers Mike Bruner, Megan Corbett and others.
On Sept. 2 there will be a lunch at 12:30 p.m. at which time any donations would be appreciated. Charles Mealing will sing and a memorial will be paid to all community members who died in the past year.
