A search for a woman wanted on outstanding warrants inevitably led to four people being arrested for other charges.

Laurel Sheriff's officials went to a residence off Ky. 1394, five miles north of London, on Monday afternoon in hopes of finding the female and serving the warrant.

Instead, they found four people at the residence - two of whom had suspected crystal meth and all of whom had outstanding warrants against them.

Those arrested and their charges were:

• Jessica L. Brock, 30, of Parman Street in London was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and giving officer false identifying information. She was also charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of receiving stolen property under $500 and another bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license and other charges. A third bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of six counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, contempt of court and other violations. Brock was also charged on a fourth bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting under $500, and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

• Bonnie Boone, 53, of Mockingbird Lane in East Bernstadt was arrested on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest charging her with third-degree criminal trespassing.

• Randall Murray, 57, of McCracken Lane in East Bernstadt was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license and numerous other violations.

• Jason W. Burkhart, 37, of Highway 1394 in East Bernstadt was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and giving officer false identifying information. He was also charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence; operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license and rear license plate not illuminated and a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense; second-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense. Burkhart was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to comply with drug court regarding a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine first offense and another bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of public intoxication – controlled substances.

Murphy does not list a court date, although Brock, Boone and Burkhart are all scheduled for an arraignment hearing on Wednesday (today) on the charges from Monday's arrest. Brock is held under $5,000 cash bond. She is also listed to pay fines of $184 and $154 from the warrants. Boone is listed at having to pay $250 for failure to appear on the criminal trespassing charge.

Burkhart is held under $10,000 cash bond on Monday's charges, is allowed no bond on one bench warrant, and lists fine amounts due of $1,019 and $284.

Assisting in the arrests were Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Jake Miller and his K-9 “Gotcha” along with Sgt. Greg Poynter, Sgt. Jack Caudill and Bailiff Brent France.
