Craig McFadden of London was killed in a motorcycle accident on west Ky. 80 Thursday.

A Laurel County man was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday on west Ky. 80.

According to co-workers, Craig McFadden of London, chief operations officer at Southeast Banking Systems, was driving to work around 8:21 a.m. Thursday on his 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when a 2007 Dodge Magnum, driven by Holly White, 31, also of London, pulled out onto west Ky. 80 from Ky. 1956 to reach the eastbound lane. According to London Police Chief Stewart Walker, White pulled into the path of McFadden.

McFadden was immediately airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  He was pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner's Office due to fatal head injuries. The police report stated McFadden was not wearing a helmet.  

White and two juvenile passengers were transported to Saint Joseph-London where they were treated for minor injuries.  

London Police Department Accident Reconstructionist Chris Edwards is investigating the accident. He was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Doug Thomas, and Officers Mike Holiday, Richie Reynolds and Ryan Jackson.  Also assisting at the scene were Air Methods, Laurel County EMS, London Fire Department and London-Laurel Rescue Squad.

McFadden is survived by his wife, Lori, and three-month-old daughter, Graci Laine.  He is the son of Bart and Elaine McFadden of London. Although his age is unknown at this time, he was a member of Laurel County High School graduating class of 1987.

McFadden has worked at Southeast Banking Systems for more than 18 years.

Arrangements are pending at Bowling Funeral Home.
