The discovery of a discarded meth lab and baggies of marijuana are prompting a search for suspects involved in illegal drug trafficking.
According to a press release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, an anonymous tip of illegal drug activity on Seeley Lane, three miles west of London, sent Deputy Jason Back to follow up on the complaint. On arrival at the residence around 2 p.m., Back spoke with a female and then discovered some marijuana in baggies. The investigation also revealed the remnants of a meth lab as well as components used in the process of making meth.
No arrests were made but suspects are being sought. Assisting in the investigation were Sheriff John Root, Chief Deputy Eddy Sizemore, Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Greg Turner and Deputy William Bo Harris. Abby Hale with the Emergency Management Division coordinated the cleanup.
