Cabin Creek Road has once again morphed into a spooky hollow. It deadends, so travel it lightly and be careful where you step ...

The home of Lisa R. Smith and Woolery Bowling is decorated with dozens of ghosts, spiders, black cats, eerie music, smoke, and animated spooks of all kinds.

Smith, who has been spooking up her yard for seven years, enjoys the children who come to see it.

“Last year we had 50 to 60 kids,” Smith said. “We hope to have more this year. I don’t care how many. I will have plenty of candy and toys, but if I run out, I will hand out dollar bills. I enjoy decorating at Halloween and Christmas. I really have a lot of fun with the children who come.”

Smith’s collection of inflatable characters keeps getting bigger every year.

“It takes three days to a week to put all these characters in the yard with the help of my friend,” Smith admitted.

“This year I added a coachman with a dead body that keeps coming out of a casket, a pirate’s ship, a haunted castle, and Minnie Mouse. They do cost a little, but I take care of them and use them over again. I had one to tear up because of the wind. I have a building I store them in.”
