SATURDAY, APRIL 16
*The annual Redbud Ride will start rolling with 622 cyclists from 21 states after a hearty 6 to 9 a.m. London Rotary Pancake Breakfast at the London-Laurel Farmers Market. Cyclists will pedal off to four different routes starting at 8 a.m. and lasting till 9:30 while spectators can visit the London Community Center to check out the Mountain Heritage Artisans Guild show, demonstrations and sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
At noon the Redbud Ride BBQ Cook-Off at the farmers market location will gratify any hungry meat-lover with several variety's of barbecue prepared by local enthusiasts. Meanwhile live bluegrass music will sound off the evening before the barbecue judging begins at 4 p.m. with a $250 grand prize awarded for a local organization and cues the end of Saturday's Redbud Ride events at 6 p.m.
SUNDAY, APRIL 17
*A Redbud Ride non-denominational worship service will be led by First United Methodist of London at 8:30 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., Redbud Ride informal guided rides will begin varying in length and difficulty for the cyclists looking to satisfy their love to ride with a final fix.
