With Little League finishing up over the next few weeks and school starting back in three weeks, most folks have turned their attention away from baseball and on to football. That’s not the case for the Crusaders Baseball program.

HAZARD — The South Laurel 8U All-Stars advanced in the District 4 8U All-Star Tournament by handing Tri-City a 20-12 loss that now sets up a matchup with Corbin on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

The South Heat won the seventh-grade Harlan County Invitational Tournament last week. Players on the team are Kaden Taylor, Jordan Steele, Cannon Jackson, Mason Boggs, Brendan Combs, Tucker Johnson, Jacob Depew, Keaton Smith, and Blake Robinson.
