North Laurel High School has named Cary Clark as head coach of the Lady Jaguar volleyball team.
Clark, a native of Louisville, recently was the head volleyball coach at Martha Layne Collins High School.
He coached the Lady Titans six years and accumulated a 137-68 record while being named 2017 KHSAA Region 8 Coach of the Year, guiding them to four consecutive 30th District titles from 2015-2018.
“We are pleased that the search process landed us with a candidate such as Cary,” North Laurel Athletic Director Jimmy Durham said. “He has a impressive coaching background and a powerful passion for improving volleyball skills and individual student-athlete growth. I expect nothing but continued district championships and our first regional championship in the near future."
“We will have an open gym session for current and future North Laurel volleyball players on Tuesday, May 7 from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the North Laurel gym,” he added. “Coach Clark will be introduced to the parents and alumni at 6:30 p.m. in the North Laurel Library.”
North Laurel posted a 22-13 record last season while capturing the 49th District championship during the process.
